I love stardust gym and so does my 2year old! The times and hours of open gym are very convenient and the birthday parties are affordable and take the stress out of planning! I gave it 4 stars because 1) I wish there were an open gym on Sunday as well (or Atleast an additional toddler open gym.) 2) I wish there were additional toddler gymnastics classes offered. I know there is one on Sunday and maybe during the week but for us working Moms w a tough commute, it's hard to get there on week days. So an additional weekend class would be fantastic and 3) the older kids at open gym on Saturday morning can sometimes be crazy and there isn't much supervision. I understand that that is a risk you take when bringing your toddler to a regular open gym, but lots of little ones go to this open gym (again the only toddler open gym is Friday's and some parents work and can't get there on Friday mornings) but the older kids can be rough and run around w no concern for the little ones. They throw balls w no concern for the little ones, heck I have even been hit in the head pretty hard w a ball there once! That being said, the kids that go are generally respectful and nice kids. I've asked kids before to be careful of the little ones or to stop throwing balls near my or my child's face, and they do listen. I just wish that the staff would take notice and throw a gentle "please be careful of the little ones" out there every now and again. But that is really my only gripe. And it doesn't stop me from bringing my daughter on Saturday mornings!
Helpful and caring staff, low pressure approach to gymnastics and fitness, good balance between learning and fun. Open gym time is great for getting the kids moving on the weekends.
As a mom of 3 small boys, keeping them active is key to my sanity! During the winter I am able to do this with the help of Stardust. We usually go to their open gym every Friday morning and it helps rid them of SOME of their energy. I recently just enrolled my eldest who is 3 1/2 in the gymnastics program, which he loved. I unfortunately could not get him to every one, but Lydia was great and honored the paid sessions. I have found the staff at Stardust to be not only professional but very personal, too. I also really appreciate the twin discount they give me for being part of Keeping Pace With Multiple Miracles which is a mom of multiples organization.
This gym is a great place to bring your kids! The staff are all very friendly people who are excited to teach and have a good time. There's a seating area upstairs that makes it very easy for parents to come and watch their kids as they please. The classes have very flexible hours and are also very affordable. I would definitely recommend this gym!
